NO PHONE ZONE AT MHS: To support student learning, MHS is a No Phone Zone during the school day. Students may have their phone during the lunch period only. Students’ phones should be put away prior to first period and again after the lunch period is over.
This year, each classroom will have a set of Chromebooks so students will no longer have to worry about lost or uncharged devices.
MHS is continuing to research best practices regarding cell phone use, social media, and youth mental health.

It's that time of year!! Football practice will be starting soon.
It is not mandatory for junior high football players to be at practices, but it is encouraged. Parents, please make arrangements for your athlete to be picked up at the end of the practice each day. The coaches have to be at professional development following practice.
There is nothing more nostalgic and spirit-filled than a community event to bring in the new school year! We hope you will join us!

Mountainburg Public Schools is seeking applicants for paraprofessional. Join the Dragon Team to collaborate in our professional learning community as we ensure high levels of learning for all students. Assignment is Middle/High School Self-contained special education classroom assistance. Paraprofessionals should be able to assist with classroom activities, interaction, supervision, tutoring, duty, and observation.
The position is a 180-day contract for 7.5 hour days.
Salary range: $16,511-$18,359
Start Date: 24-25 school year. The position is a 180-day 7.5-hour contract with a starting salary of $16,511 paid in 12 installments. Benefits include teacher health insurance with a $234.50 monthly district match, a 15% teacher retirement contribution, 9 days of sick leave, and 2 days of personal leave annually.
