School Picture Day - Friday, September 6! See the graphic below for more details.

SHOUT OUT to MHS Freshman Aubrey Stanley! Her mom, Samantha Stanley, just posted this: I honestly just have no words at the moment…if you only knew what all it took to get here. All the hard work paid off and everything came together for this team to lay down an absolutely BEAUTIFUL pattern and come out RESERVE STATE CHAMPION in the Buckaroo (13U) Horsemanship with her highest score yet, 160.5!! Proud is an understatement.

THANK YOU MOUNTAINBURG and MOUNTAINBURG STUDENTS AND TEACHERS! The Hot Wheels for Darren drive was a success beyond anything we expected! Between what was collected at MHS and MES, over 250 Hot Wheels cars were donated for Darren! His sister, Chloe, is taking several to him this weekend. We appreciate everyone's generosity this week.

The start of the 2024 football season is one week away! We will be posting communications about the game against Cedarville over the next week, but below is a reminder from Coach Dean's letter concerning admission to sporting events for the 2024-2025 seasons.
Coach Dean's Letter is posted below.

Important tips for keeping families safe with online activities. Thanks Morgan Nick Foundation for sharing.

Parents - Our district partners with Heritage Photography in Van Buren for a lot of our picture needs. Scheduling for the next school year starts in May or June.
The district calendar that houses all scheduled activities is used to determine the dates for pictures each year. Every effort is made to avoid conflicts during the school day and after school.
We work to stick to this schedule as much as possible; however, situations may arise that could prompt a change in the schedule. Communications will be sent out as soon as possible should this occur.
If you have any questions, you can email Mrs. Christian at misty.christian@mountainburg.org or use Rooms if your student is in one of her classes.

HISTORY OF LABOR DAY: Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United States that honors the contributions of American workers to the country's well-being, prosperity, and strength. It's celebrated on the first Monday of September each year. The holiday's origins date back to the late 19th century, when labor activists fought for a federal holiday to recognize workers' contributions and to demand better working conditions and shorter workdays. The struggles of these workers led to benefits like paid time off, safer workplaces, and the 40-hour workweek.

The Dragons and Lady Dragons golfers showed up at Little Creek Country Club in Branch yesterday! The boys finished 3rd with a score of 133. The girls finished 1st with a score of 147. McKenzie Frazier was the top overall female golfer with a score of 44.

We are ready to collect Hot Wheels for Darren!! The Mountainburg Boys and Girls Club is also partnering with Clara and FBLA to collect. Let's fill this tub for Darren!

Happy Tuesday & National Peach 🍑 Day!
