On February 18 and February 25, Mrs. Hays and Mrs. Christian organized the Senior Mock Interviews, and we couldn’t be more proud of the experience our students and volunteers created together.
Mock interviews are more than just practice — they’re a safe space to build confidence, refine communication skills, and learn how to think clearly under pressure. For many seniors, this is their first time sitting across from professionals and navigating real-world interview questions. The growth that happens in just one session is incredible to witness.
These experiences help students:
Strengthen professional communication
Practice storytelling and highlighting accomplishments
Receive constructive, real-time feedback
Build confidence heading into college, internships, and careers
Most importantly, they walk away believing they can do this.
A huge thank you to our volunteer interviewers who generously gave their time, insight, and encouragement. Your thoughtful questions, honest feedback, and supportive presence made all the difference. Our students benefited tremendously from your expertise and authenticity.

This week, we were able to put on a CTE fair for our 8th graders. We offer many career and technical education classes here at Mountainburg that teach our students valuable skills. Some of the pathways available for students to take are:
•Agriculture Structures
•Animal Science
•Art
•Band
•Choir
•Criminal Justice
•Culinary Arts
•Digital Arts
High schoolers from each pathway spoke to our 8th graders about how fun their classes are and what they learn by being involved in these classes. This helped our upcoming freshman prepare for high school by discovering what CTE classes will be a good fit for their interests.

Under the guidelines from the Arkansas Activities Association, everyone must pay admission to the Regional Tournament, including all athletes and district employees. Those who signed up to volunteer at the tournament will not have to pay admission.
To move things quickly and smoothly at the gate, please have your ticket purchased before arriving on campus. Fans can purchase the tickets on site with a credit or debit card.
