The basketball games scheduled for Friday, January 30 at Johnson County Westside will be played as scheduled with the exception that games will now start at 4:00 instead of 4:30.
Unfortunately, the weather has not cooperated today as we would have liked and many of our rural roads and city streets remain slick and hazardous compounded by freezing temperatures overnight. For everyone’s safety, there will be no school tomorrow, Friday, January 30th.
Reminder, students will not be in school on Monday, February 2 for teacher professional development.
We hope to see everyone on Tuesday, February 3.

Monday, February 2, has been on the calendar as a scheduled professional development day for certified staff. Students will not be in school that day.
A decision regarding school for Friday, January 30 will be made later this evening. Information will be sent out to parents and staff as soon as the decision is made. It will be posted on social media, the LiveFeed on the website, and the DragonsLink App, as well as sent via text and email.

The administration will evaluate road conditions tomorrow to determine the status for Friday.
Mountainburg Public Schools will remain closed on Wednesday, January 28th, due to continued hazardous road conditions. All campuses and the district office will be closed.
The January board meeting will still be held on Wednesday, January 28 @ 5:00.

The basketball games scheduled for Tuesday, January 27 against Hackett at home have been postponed to Tuesday, February 10 with only the senior high games being played starting at 5:00 PM.
All after-school activities are also canceled for Tuesday, January 27. An announcement regarding rescheduled activities will be made once plans are finalized.
BOARD MEETING SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, JANUARY 26:
Due to today’s continued hazardous road conditions, the Mountainburg Public Schools Board meeting scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 28, at 5:00 PM in the boardroom.
Mountainburg Public Schools will remain closed on Tuesday, January 27, due to hazardous road conditions from the winter storm. All campuses and the district office will be closed.
Please stay safe. Families and staff will be notified on Monday regarding the status of school for Tuesday.

The tournament finals have been rescheduled to Saturday, January 31.
Jr High Girls finals will begin at 11:00.
Jr High Boys finals will begin at 12:15.
Third-place games will not be rescheduled.
