DRAGON HUDDLE — Starting Game Day with Dragon Pride!
Friday morning was all about Dragon Pride as our student-athletes came together for Dragon Huddle at Mountainburg Elementary! Next week the Dragon Huddle will also be at MMS!
Our Dragons helped students out of cars, handed out plenty of high-fives and hugs, and took time to talk with our younger students as they arrived for school. What a great way to kick off a game day and build connections between our Dragons of all ages!
Dragon Huddle is about more than showing school spirit—it’s about encouragement, leadership, and reminding our younger Dragons that they are part of something special.
We love seeing our students supporting one another and representing Mountainburg with pride!

On Monday, Mrs. Hays, MHS Career Coach, and Mrs Christian, MHS College and Career Readiness teacher, invited seniors, parents, guardians to campus for the Class of 2027 Senior Parent Summit.
We were excited to welcome our senior parents and guardians for an informative evening focused on everything they need to know for the senior year! Families received important information about school-year expectations and policies, college planning, scholarships, FAFSA, graduation, and so much more.
From preparing for life after high school to making the most of senior year, our goal was to make sure every family feels informed, prepared, and supported every step of the way.
Here’s to an amazing senior year and an exciting journey ahead!

Sometimes a break during the day to make something with your hands is just what is needed. At MHS, students can go to the library where Mrs. Smothers has games, puzzles, arts and crafts ready for students during Advisory.

Due to power lines on the ground and hanging down, it has been decided that Darrel Mays, Bus 22, will NOT run the route in the morning.
An update will be provided later in the day on Monday.

It's Math in Action at MHS!! Mrs. Toralba's Algebra I students created dot plots and box plots from their own research questions involving numerical data, then critiqued each other's data and data displays. It was like a gallery of data in her classroom.

Our Dragon golf team battled the heat and got the win today at Little Creek. Congratulations, boys! Dallan Turner was overall medalist with 41, followed by Caed Cowett with a 42.

BUS ROUTE UPDATES FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 20
Parents, please be aware that due to continued storm cleanup efforts following Monday’s storms, bus routes are still being affected.
Bus 22 (Darrel Mays) will not run.
Bus 8 (Barbara Hammond) will run its regular route except up Hickory and Sycamore.
A large number of power poles were blown over during the storm. Crews are working as quickly as possible to clear the roads and restore power to affected areas.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as crews continue working to get everything back to normal.

FOOTBALL GAME UPDATE: The junior high football game scheduled for Thursday, 8/27 against West Fork has been cancelled. The first football game for junior high will now be on Thursday, 9/3 at Cedarville.
