Mountainburg Schools is excited to work with the Mountainburg Reunion Association on a joint project: The Composite Restoration Project. This was overseen by Misty Christian with assistance from students in her Media Communications class.
After the composites were removed from the frames, Kaley Beck with Heritage Portraits took a high resolution photo of each one. Each composite was reprinted to 18x24 in Mrs. Christian's lab and framed by members of her class. Plans are to hang them starting at the north end of Old Main and going down both sides of the hallways.
The composites will also be available for viewing on the new interactive display that will be in the lobby of the new Dragon Gymnasium.
This afternoon, Linda Smith Downs, MHS Class of 1970, presented Mrs. Christian, MHS Class of 1989, with a check to put toward this project.
Some of the students who assisted with this project are pictured holding a newly printed and framed composite: Abbey Griffith, Haylee Bruton, Austin Howard, JoAnne Bell, Abbie Severson, Camdalynn McCaslin. Others that assisted: Ryan Allen, Willow Hecox, Connor McClarty, Christopher Granados, and JoAndy Granados.

MHS art classes visited Crystal Bridges this week. Mrs. Lewis took students on a scavenger hunt through the museum and a nature walk.

May you Friday be blessed everyone.😊
