It's a busy week before Christmas Break! The reminders are updated with our Cheer Team headed to State Competition in Hot Springs on Saturday.

Upcoming volunteer opportunity for students in grades 9th-12th at Mountainburg Public Library on December 20th from approximately 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Students may earn community service learning credit for the time that they volunteer. Please see the flyer for details. Students interested in volunteering at this event should reach out to Mrs. Mihaila to sign up at amber.mihaila@mountainburg.org.

Dragon Weekly
This is the final Dragon Weekly of 2025 and the last week before Christmas Break!

Dragon Weekly will resume on Sunday, January 4, 2026, and students will return to school on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Teachers will be in professional development on Monday, January 5.

We hope everyone in Dragon Nation has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for a great year—enjoy a safe, restful, and joyful break.

It's never too early for students to learn the value of knowing CPR. The 7th grade FACS students were very excited about their Certification and they had a hands-on learning experience thanks to our Instructor, Jake Tucker! Each student at the end of the hour received a certificate for knowing the steps of CPR and what to do in an emergency situation.

Thursday, December 18 is the Annual Toy Toss in Memory of Ms. Jamie Seratt. This will be held during following the cheerleaders' performance at halftime of the Sr. High Boys game.

Please help Arwen collect a lot of new, soft plush toys to deliver to local and area police and fire departments.

Can't make it to the game? You can drop off a toy at the high school office with Roger.

Join Mrs. Vanzandt and her music students on Sunday, December 14, 2:00 PM, New Dragon Gymnasium, to hear them perform the wonderful sounds of the season.

MHS Varsity Cheer will compete at the Southern Spirit Competition at Bentonville High School this evening! They take the mat at 5:32 and again at 6:56 for the finals round! Tonight Coach Paige Jones presented Elliot Owen with her 1,000 points basketball. Congratulations on this milestone Elliot!

Mrs. Simmons took some Physical Science students to the James W. Trimble Lock and Dam in Barling on Monday, December 8. The students heard from two educators with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission who took them up the river on their Education Barge. Students were able to put their Boater Education knowledge to use! They also looked for Eagles and their nests on the river.

Movie night is TONIGHT! Doors open at 5:30.

The Fort Smith All City XC team was announced based on best times run 1A-6A. Olivia Prothro- 1st team Girls Ethan Manus- 2nd team Boys Zeb Rosenberg- all junior team Nicholas Rodriguez- all Sophomore team Camden Jones- all sophomore team Levi Wilcox- all freshman team It was a really great year for the XC Dragons.
