The MHS Student Council did a wonderful job of putting together the 2024 Veterans Day Assembly for MMS and MHS. Special thank you to Mr. Michael Howard for being here as our guest speaker. Mr. Howard was a member of the Arkansas Air National Guard for 32 years. He made three deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates. He also was deployed on one post-hurricane response to the Virgin Islands. Mr. Howard retired in 2021 as a Lieutenant Colonel. This year, students participated in the flag folding ceremony. Following the assembly, Mr. Andy Plumbtree with VFW Chapter 8855 did a presentation on how to retire a US flag when it is no longer suitable for display. Thank you to all men and women who have served and are currently serving in the US military.

We hope that all veterans were honored in some manner on Veterans Day 2024. Mrs. Christian is getting a head start on the video for next year. Please see the graphic below.
