The Student Leadership Team is meeting at MHS today to plan out the year. This team will have multiple roles throughout the year including teaching character lessons, helping others, and building the culture at MHS.

Hello Dragon Family, it's National avocado day!! Make some guacamole!

Substitute training will be available at Mountainburg Schools.

Where in the world have our Dragons been?
Amelia has been to the Mid-America Science Museum, Arkansas Alligator Farm, Fishing at Alma lake, Mountainburg library, parks, and playing her Steele tongue drum at the Chester creek.
We have just a little more time to soak up summer! Share with us where you have been, Dragons: https://forms.gle/DXw6e5iJECNkFAL28

The first day of school is almost upon us! We are very excited to see everyone's smiling faces! Just a reminder that if you have a newly enrolled Kindergarten student we must have the following documentation before the first day of school:
1) Birth Certificate
2) Social Security Card
3) Current Immunization Record
4) Wellness Check
Students that have moved up from Pre-K will already have this documentation in their file.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Amy at 479-369-2762.

It's time to gear up for a great year at Mountainburg Public Schools!

Communication between the school and parents is paramount to work together for your student's success.
This year, Rooms will become teachers' main platform to use to communicate with parents. We will continue to provide information about using Rooms.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Throughout the school year, there are lots of dates scheduled on which students may be involved in having their picture taken for something. Mountainburg Schools contracts with Heritage Portraits in Van Buren.
We strive to stick to this schedule as much as possible. In the event a date has to be rescheduled, notice will go out as soon as possible.

Below is information for parents who have children attending Pre-K or Kindergarten at MES.

It's time to get the Lil Dragons ready to return to the halls of MES! And to welcome the Class of 2038!

It is Open House time at the campuses! This is a great opportunity for parents and students to meet the principals and the teachers. Let's fill the halls at each campus at Open House!

The graphic below contains information about a soft start to school for students the week of August 12.

NO PHONE ZONE AT MHS: To support student learning, MHS is a No Phone Zone during the school day. Students may have their phone during the lunch period only. Students’ phones should be put away prior to first period and again after the lunch period is over.
This year, each classroom will have a set of Chromebooks so students will no longer have to worry about lost or uncharged devices.
MHS is continuing to research best practices regarding cell phone use, social media, and youth mental health.
Thank you for supporting our mission and partnering with us to continue improving the student learning environment.

And we can't forget the Little League Dragon Football Players and Cheerleaders! Go Blue!
