ROCK THE GARAGE!
If you have been around Mountainburg for any length of time, you know what the Old Rock Garage is.
The school district is working toward transforming the Old Rock Garage into an artistic representation of Mountainburg, still maintaining the nostalgia of the building. Collaboration has begun with Staci Beauford of Some Girls and a Mural, Cora Boland - MHS Art Teacher, Jessica Wilcox - MES Art Teacher, and Heather Loop Firth - MHS Graduate and art teacher at Hellstern Middle School in Springdale.
When you look at the collage of post cards below, what images around Mountainburg come to mind that you would want to see in a collage painted on a wall in the Old Rock Garage or even as stand-alone images on the walls in the garage? The Spillway? The Dairy Dream? The original Bassham's Grocery Store? Nolen Handle Mill? Mountainburg Hardware Store? Think about all the students who have grown up here but did not experience these places plus a lot of other locations.
Start thinking and start sharing your ideas in the comments below! Your input is important. This will be a fantastic way to capture what our little town has been about and what it is about.

Hello, M.E.S. Students & Families!
Ready for a SUPER year, SUPERHEROES!?! As I am sure you know, our OPEN HOUSE is this Friday, Aug 13th, from 2-6 p.m. The teachers have set up appointment times for your visits to maintain our health and safety efforts. (Please call the school for an appointment if a teacher has not been able to make contact with you yet.) After your visit with your teacher(s) and you have put away your school supplies, please be sure and come to the library to see me and have your “Superhero” photo taken! You know I have cool photo props for you to use, but you may also like to wear your favorite Superhero T-Shirt or outfit!!! Trust me, you will fit right in!!! I am looking forward to seeing your smiling faces very soon! P.S. If you can’t seem to find Mrs. Voeller, just look for a red cape! Signing off now,… your “Library Lady!”

Abilities Unlimited has ended cardboard pickup in the community.
We have relocated the recycle bin at MHS and will no longer be offering community recycle on our campuses.
We will continue to teach, model and practice recycling for school use and seek community partnerships, but for the time there will be no community use recycle bins.
Thank you for your understanding and support. Please do not leave trash or recycling material on campus where the bins were located.
