2022 Graduation, Friday, May 22, 7:30 PM, Dragon Stadium

You are invited to join us for a demonstration and response session on WEDNESDAY, MAY 25 from 3:45-4:45 in the Board Room.
Please share and invite fellow teachers and parents to attend.
We all know how important parent involvement is. Here are some stats that may surprise you:
Teacher-family communication increases the odds that students complete their homework by 40%
Parental involvement increases standardized test scores, grades, and class attendance
Parent-teacher communication helps students stay on task in the classroom
Teacher-parent communication improves students' social skills and behavior
We have improved our systems for one-way communication with updated communications tools like webpage and integrated social media platforms, text and voice call notification systems, our mobile app, plus weekly digital newsletters.
In efforts to improve our systems for two-way communications, we are considering a tool to aid teacher-to-parent and parent-to-teacher communication.
Some of the challenges teachers and parents face include:
-access to current contact information
-time in the day to communicate
-limited face to face communication opportunities
-use of personal numbers
-risks of communicating with students through individual channels, apps, or media
-having to use multiple tools and too many channels to reach all of a student's teachers and coaches
-
We need to take many factors into consideration, such as device access and personal communication style preference. We also have to consider the need to provide support for our faculty and staff to be able to effectively reach and communicate with classes, teams, individual students, and parents in a timely way that protects all parties.
We are considering the use of a standard communication tool, ROOMS, by Apptegy.
Rooms is a communications management system for schools that is integrated into our school app through Thrillshare. We are looking specifically at the Stream/Announcement feature and the Messaging feature. For more information about ROOMS Click Here
