We’re rounding out Heart Month with a focus on our students. High blood pressure is not just an adult issue. A CDC study found that about 1 in 25 youth ages 12 to 19 have hypertension, and 1 in 10 has elevated blood pressure (previously called “prehypertension”). High blood pressure in youth is linked to health problems later in life. The good news is that you can both manage and help prevent high blood pressure in our teens with the help of a healthy diet and exercise.

The MES Book Fair will remain OPEN until 6 PM tonight, and tomorrow is the last day of the Book Fair. It will close down at 5:00 tomorrow (Wednesday). Thank you all for your support!

Amber Bailey, a consultant with Be Pro, Be Proud, was on campus today to work with our seniors to help them prepare their resume. She took them through each part of a resume and discussed what a good resume includes and looks like.
Tomorrow, Korenda Allen will be on campus to help prepare our seniors for interviews.
These two days will culminate into an activity that the seniors will attend in March called Draft Day. They will have the opportunity to visit with many industries from this area and possibly get to interview.

Congratulations!
