We experienced a GREAT week back after the break for a wonderful start to 2023!
On Monday teachers worked in collaborative teams making much progress on the guaranteed and viable curriculum for each grade, course, and subject.
Teams reviewed essential standards and learning targets, unpacked upcoming modules, and moved curriculum documents to the District curriculum website.
On Tuesday we welcomed our students back reminding them of our expectations for work and behavior.
Teachers and students are setting personal growth goals, and can't wait to celebrate fall-to-winter growth on NWEA testing results in the middle of this month.
We, as Dragons, have a shared commitment to Do The Work necessary to achieve our mission for ALL to learn at high levels.
Fire Up for Growth in '23! π₯π₯π₯

Diabetes symptoms can sometimes turn into an emergency quite quickly. Therefore it is important to know the signs and symptoms of a diabetic emergency, and what to do if one arises.
Hypoglycemia is when the blood sugar is too low. If the symptoms appear suddenly, the person should take a high-carb snack to resolve them, such as:
* a glucose tablet
* a sweet juice
* a candy or a lump of sugar
Hyperglycemia is when the blood sugar is too high. In mild cases, ways of resolving this include:
* exercising more
* eating less
* taking their ordered dose of insulin or other medication in accordance to their blood sugar level.
Happy Wednesday Dragons.
