It was a great Slam Dunk to Dragon Basketball '21! Our junior high Lady Dragons and Dragons were showcased today followed by the Varsity Lady Dragons playing the alumni Lady Dragons. There were 17 alumni men who played in a blue - white scrimmage game with the blue team winning. Then the Varsity Dragons scrimmaged the alumni men with the alumni men taking the victory by 5 points. Thank you to everyone who came out to support this event. Over $1,600 was raised for the Varsity Boys Basketball team. Thank you to MHS alum Steve Selman with Envision Technologies for sponsoring the alumni t-shirts. Thank you to all the individuals and businesses who donated items or services that were raffled off today. And most important, thank you to the Dragon Fans for coming out today to support our teams as we begin Dragon Basketball 21-22! Being a Dragon means being a TEAM and working as a TEAM! Go Dragons!

This year, Coach Jones, our Student Performance Specialist, has implemented Positive Referrals and Student of the Month to recognize our students. Positive Referrals are given by any school emplyee when they witness a student or students going above and beyond. The Student of the Month award is selected by the teachers. A female and a male student is chosen from a list of nominated students. For the month of October, Adrionna Bentley and Jodin Davidson were selected as Student of the Month for displaying respect to and for others. Congratulations to these students!
